Is Your Commute Killing Your Earnings?

Hi everyone,

I just realized that I spend nearly ten hours a week just sitting in traffic to get to a job that pays decently. If I add those ten hours to my work week, my actual hourly rate drops significantly!

It's making me reconsider whether I should look for something closer to home, even if the starting salary is a little lower. Has anyone else done this calculation and been shocked by the results?
